From 3 Hours to 30 Mins : 4 Productivity Hacks to Gaining Back Your Work Time
As an entrepreneur, you might find yourself more swamped than expected.
When the 996 takes its toll on your productivity, it’s time to reclaim your calendar with these simple practices.
1. Stop checking new texts mindlessly.
Drowning in a sea of messages is a serious energy drainer. Break the habit by allocating specific times to manage emails and texts using the 2-minute rule. If it requires urgency or less than 2 minutes of your time, do it immediately. Anything that doesn't fall into these categories can either be deferred to the next day or delegated to others.
2. Minimise meetings and client interactions.
Edit your duties and remove yourself from in-person client appointments or meetings that don’t need on-the-spot decisions. Pass on the responsibilities to someone you trust so it frees up your time to focus on matters like the company's quarterly goals, annual plan, and the big picture. Remember, you invest in people for a reason.
3. Leverage online productivity tools.
It’s hard to win the digital business world without utilising its smart working technology. Adopting small tools such as time-blocking, note-taking, automation, or online collaboration apps can massively impact your time and productivity. Google Calendar, Motion, Notion, Zapier, and Sigma are great tools to start with.
4. Find your most efficient hours.
Working out of sync with your natural body clock slows everything down. Identify your best time by tracking daily performance for a few weeks. Note when you hit a creative peak, energy dip, or feel distracted. Then organise challenging and high-return projects around your most productive hours, while leaving the opposite for easy tasks or recharging breaks.
